How to find us
We can be a little tricky to find so please use the information below to find us. From April to October, the garden is open on Fridays from 10:30am to 3:30pm. Otherwise the garden is closed to visitors outside of pre-booked events, and occasional weekend openings.

FROM THE A381 NEWTON ABBOT / TOTNES ROAD
For visitors using Sat Nav, please use postcode TQ12 5UL or the following what3words address: throats.initial.tadpoles. From the A381 coming from Newton Abbot and heading towards Totnes, continue past the signs for Ipplepen and turn right into Edgelands Lane just past Southern Timber, signposted ‘Animals in Distress’. Take the first left after the junction with Conniford Lane, signposted ‘Ambrook 1 mile’. Take the right-hand fork at Ambrook Lodge, through the gate into Great Ambrook Avenue. This is marked as a private road and there is a further sign saying ‘Access to the Italian Garden by appointment only’. Continue slowly down Great Ambrook Avenue, taking care as there are few passing places. After 0.7 miles you will see the stone pillars to Great Ambrook ahead. The garden entrance is immediately on your left before these stone pillars.
